Your contractor may drop off the materials 3 or more days in advance to accomplish this.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hardwoods4less.com\/acclimating-hardwood-flooring.html\" target=\"_blank\">Hardwood4less<\/a>\u00a0website states:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Between 5 and 10 days ahead of time, check to see if the temperature and humidity of the space is at normal living conditions. In other words, let the heat or air run as it would normally for\u00a0<strong>at least 5 days<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gaylordhardwoodflooring.com\/the-hardwood-acclimation-process\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gaylord Hardwood Flooring<\/a>\u00a0website states:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Flooring should be delivered to the job site up to\u00a0<strong>two weeks<\/strong>\u00a0before installation. Keep in mind that if the flooring is delivered on a\u00a0<strong>damp or rainy day<\/strong>\u00a0you may need several more days for the floor to acclimatize.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.armstrong.com\/flooring\/top-10-hardwood.html\" target=\"_blank\">Armstrong<\/a>\u00a0website states:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">To acclimate hardwood flooring, move the packaged boards into the room where they will be installed and\u00a0<strong>let them sit for several days<\/strong>, with the cartons open and raised off the ground. This allows the moisture content of the wood to adjust to the conditions in the room. Armstrong recommends acclimation for all their solid hardwood flooring products.
