{"id":2594,"date":"2014-06-16T12:42:36","date_gmt":"2014-06-16T12:42:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lifeafterfire.co.uk\/?p=2594"},"modified":"2014-06-16T12:56:59","modified_gmt":"2014-06-16T12:56:59","slug":"regulation-411-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.lifeafterfire.co.uk\/?p=2594","title":{"rendered":"Regulation 411.1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PGS Services Ltd <\/strong>has informed me today about Regulation 411.1 that states:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">&#8230;\u00a0automatic disconnection of supply is a protective measure in which basic protection is provided by basic insulation of live parts, or by barriers or enclosures, and fault protection is provided by protective earthing, protective equipotential bonding and automatic disconnection in case of a fault.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">This regulation states that any metallic services entering the property\u00a0<strong>must be bonded<\/strong>\u00a0where accessible within 600mm of where it enters. Main bonding should be connected with a minimum of 10 mm copper cable and fixed with earth tags<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">If the above regulation is true why Mr P.
