On the 19th November 2013, CountryWide arranged our alternative accommodation for all of us on the Premier Inn hotel for the duration of the repair works.
This means three weeks minimum stay on the Premier Inn Hotel in County Hall, Belvedere Road, London SE1 7PB
On the 20th November 2013, the loss adjuster informed us that accommodation has been agreed for a three week period, which can be shortened if the work does not take this long. He also arranged with CountryWide to include internet connection. Finally he informed us that they will pay £15 per person per day for food expenses. This amount was increased to £20 after I argued that it is almost impossible to have a lunch and dinner for £15 per day in Central London.
On the 21st November 2013, the loss adjuster informed me that Capital Services Ltd are not willing to move the furnishing from my flat and that I will have to organise something which I did. However this raises the question: “What are exactly the job responsibilities of Mr Kenny W., project manager, who is working for Capital Services Ltd?”
On the same day we agreed the cost for the removal and storage of our belongings as well as some other expenses. In summary it would be cheaper for the insurance to buy us a new sofa!
On the 25th November 2013, the removal guys came and removed the sofa and armchairs. When they mentioned that the sofa might scratch the walls if they tried to carried out, the Capital Services Ltd contractors said that it was done before and that it would be fine. However, we had to correct him saying that the furnishing was not removed during the previous works so his comments were inappropriate.
