Not A Good Start

I woke up after a eventful evening. During the night there was a loud noise from the heater as well from outside when the hotel employees tried to empty the recycling containers with all the glass bottles.

Being a little tired from the bad sleep I decided to have a nice hot shower to wake me up. In my attempt to have a shower I discovered that the shower gel dispenser was not working. I had to go out of the bath, put my clothes on and then go downstairs to buy a shower gel from the vending machines.

2014-01-21 06.30.53On the way back I took one of the iron boards so I could iron my shirt. However that was impossible as well as dangerous since the electrical cable was burnt.

By that moment I knew that it won’t be an easy day. I wore my shirt as it was and tried to put some valuable things to the safe. Unfortunately that did not work which proves the theory that bad things come in threes.

When I arrived at work I spoke with Mr Michael C. from E.J. Taylor & Son Ltd regarding the dust protection of the kitchen and the upper floor. He promised to look after that matter when he visits the property later.

At 16:50 I received a call from Mr Adrian M. who said that he will try to find out about the works duration, our meeting, etc. He also mentioned that the same criteria will apply regarding our expenses and accommodation.

2014-01-21 18.35.59At 18:15 I managed to visit my flat and I did discover that the contractors did not cover the stairs or the kitchen with a dust sheet or other protective material in order to avoid the dust from entering the upper floor and kitchen.

2014-01-23 06.39.51Back in the hotel I found that the kitchen will be closed from tomorrow for two days. That means no breakfast or dinner on that hotel. They offered us to go to the sister hotel which is 5 mins away for breakfast but I kindly refused.
